clutch issues revisited |
Lead | ||
|
Hi, I've already posted for this problem but I think I have a clearer understanding of my problem. I just bought an 84 Honda Shadow VT700. The bike has
clutch issues. The clutch works fine during about 10-15 minutes of riding, then eventually fails to fully catch. It still goes through the gears, but the
discs fail to grab and eventually, the bike won't move at all. But, if I immediately bleed the clutch line, the clutch works fine again. I am not seeing
any spurting coming from the line, but the fluid is kind of dirty. Is this a master cylinder problem? It's weird because it seems as if there is a hole
in the line, letting air in, but I don't see air coming from the line when I bleed it. Please help, I desperately want to get out and ride.
Thanks, Nate |

Nate.....I don't know if this is going to help you or not, but I use to have a 88 Honda VT800C that had a hydraulic clutch that gave me some problems. I
do not believe I had the same problem as you. My problem was that I lost the clutch and could not disengage the clutch. The clutch lever would move with
absolutely no resistance.
