For those of you that know me, you know that my health has been going downhill. (Too quickly, I might add!) Anyway, after another recent bout with heart and lung problems, I made a decision that I'm going to fight back a little harder. The most important thing I need to do is lose some weight. That is not an easy thing for me to do. I can't walk too well due to a combination of a bad disc in my back and an old leg injury, so I needed to come up with some sort of exercise program. One day I was just surfing the net and I saw a picture of something that I was unfamiliar with, so I tried researching it to find out more about it. What I found out was that it is quite possibly the perfect machine for someone in my predicament.
I've come to the conclusion over the years that for a weight reduction program to be it effective, it takes one of three outcomes; 1) Complete dedication and determination (Come on, face it...there is only so many Lance Armstrong's in the world), 2) Fast results (which I think only liposuction would qualify for me), and 3) A method of exercise that is actually enjoyable (yeah, good luck with that one, huh?). Well, I think I actually found a way meets the third qualifier. It's called a recumbent trike.
The model I just ordered is a Tour from a company called TerraTrike. There are several companies making these things. They start at about $799 and go all the way up to $8000. I went toward the lower end of the scale. I should get mine in about a week. I'll keep you posted.

That is one cool ride.
