Alain, most of us just shoot the "pretty" or the "interesting" pictures, including myself, but you show the whole story. It's great to get a fuller perspective of the people and the surroundings, the one that you displayed in your wide assortment of pictures capturing the First Spring T Rally. Thanks for your photojournalism. You did a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It sure is gorgeous countryside. Who's bike has a blue circle on the side of the tank and what is that circle that is shown in the fourth picture of the second row? Putz was actually cleaning his bike? Did someone shame him into it? I thought he just waited to ride in the rain so that the old dirt could be washed away and replaced with new dirt. Has Putz found a new religion? Fred |

I guess Fredrider said it best. I like to show unstaged photos, it does kind of make you feel like your standing there watching the action as it happens.
I must apologize for some of the pictures being a little 'grainy'. It was so overcast on Saturday when we took our group photos that I had to 'enhance' the exposure of some of the shots and doing so it sacrificed the sharpness of the photos. If you look at the first photo in the fifth row, you'll see mktobob's wife Sue, trying to unhook Bob's netted socking from the footpeg. Putz is looking on while Bob is yelling to Sue; "Make him go away"! If you look at the fifth picture in the first row, you will see Uncle Clay showing West Tn Dawg and John the problem he has with his feet not reaching the footpegs. And this is the real reason why Clay has to have After5 (April) drive when they ride. (Note: with legs this short is it any wonder that Clay loses at Indian leg wrestling) The first picture in the eighth row is Putz cleaning 1200 miles of dirt off of his bike. Because it happened so fast I failed to capture the picture of when Putz stepped into the pail of water that he was using to clean his bike. Lou and I just couldn't stop laughing. I hope that the rest of you enjoy what proved to be a truly memorable event. Only 50 more weeks until next year and I am definitely going to be there again. How about the rest of you? Alain |

Second picture fifth row down is one of my favorite memories of the rally showing as it does the largest single composite shot of the group as a whole enjoying the dinner at Fat Guido's. I don't know about the rest of you but I found that having the wives there and their full participation in the festivities just simply made the entire rally a better get together than it otherwise would have been. Thanks for the many memories brother -- each one is treasured. By the way Soft Miss that road is beneath an overhanging bluff which isn't all that rare a sight to see back here. You really shoulda been there wading the cow poop through the natural bridge we had been through shortly before that road shot was taken.

Thanks for all the pictures, Alain and Skip, and everyone else that helped. How cool to see the pictures and remember meeting everyone.
I guess I better get busy and get my pictures downloaded. I have some pictures that I haven't seen posted yet. I got a shot of the giant windchimes. I got a shot of the ceiling at Fat Guido's. I think I got a shot of the opening to the natural bridge that Lou mentioned. I got a couple of shots of the low water bridges. Again, Thanks to all for the memories. As a collector of memories, this whole trip was a very special treat for me. Meeting all of you was frosting on the cake. Ride safe. Anyone heard from Rodney?? I saw a couple of posts under a new userid, but haven't seen or heard from him since then. I guess I'll have to have him tell me his password, so he can just call me if he forgets it again. See Y'all later. Except for April. I'll "C" you later. ![]() Putz Putz |

Thanks for taking and posting all the pics all. That is a handsome bunch of bikes and an even more handsome group of people.
I am planning on taking a fall trip this year and I am considering coming to the fall Eureka trip. The answer to this question will make up my mind - Do they use those big@$$ biscuits for biscuits and gravy for breakfast? Dave

Dave....you owe it to yourself to go to Eureka Springs in the fall. But be warned.....Cindy Sumpter (co-owner of Edelweiss Inn) says that the fall is the busiest time of the year for them. Reservations will be tight with all the 'leafers' in town.
One more thing. Everyone enjoyed those HUGE biscuits at breakfast, they were good and of course none of us had ever seen anything so big. But there was one other unheralded bread that they served at Guido's and that was the flat bread served with dinner. I never tasted anything sooooo good. I pigged out on them. But of course compared to the Huge biscuits many of us have forgotten about the dinner bread. alepel |
