The whole process took about 4 hours to complete but 1/2 that time was due to the planning and head scratching associated with doing something like this for the 1st time. Since the harley risers use 1/2" bolts instead of the 12mm studs on the factory risers, I had to have the machine shop custom make a set of stud bolts that were 1/2" on one end and 7/16" on the other. The holes in the T's triple tree were too small for the 1/2" bolts so by shaving part of a 1/2" bolt down to 7/16" allowed them to fit through the triple tree with ease. See the pics below.
