Do most use Bel-Ray?
Things are a little loose, have to tighten the nut down, so thought I mite as well change fork oil.

Per Honda factory manual, the fork oil capacity is 16.8 oz US, and Pro Honda Suspension Fluid SS-8 is recommended.

Thanks for the info, I don't have my manual yet, but have to tighten down the triple head I think it is called, so thought I should change fork oil at
that time. Just need to figure out torque for steering stem bolt on triple head and forks and front axle and will be all set.
Thanks a lot Randy |

The Honda service manual gives the following torque specs:
Front axel bolt 43 ft lbs Axel pinch bolts 16 ft lbs Steering stem nut 76 ft lbs in 15 lb increments - move bars back and forth several times - lock to lock to seat bearing if it was removed. |

Thanks a lot, that helps a lot. Steering stem is loose, so time to do something and didn't have specs yet.
What about bolts at top of fork, do I need to know torque there? A friend is helping me and he ask for the specs you gave me, so maybe the top of forks you just do with experience? Or do I need a ft lb figure for them? Thanks a lot for the info. I don't wanna be a pest, so I am sure we can get it done with the info you already gave me. Randy |

The top of the forks (fork cap) is torqued at 17 ft lbs.
The small horizonal pinch bolts are 8 ft lbs. Glad to help, if it did. |
