HSATF 1st Officer Posts: 649 04/14/07 7:54 PM	Yes, good news indeed. I was so delerious from the good news that I went out and bought the Harley. April and I went and picked it up this morning. We got an 05 Ultra Glide Classic with a little less than 10k miles on it. It is really cool and is one of those things that I have always wanted but had put little things like wife, kids housing in front of. Well now the wife is an ex (that is untill April and I tie the knot), the kids are out of the house, the house is paid for soooooooo I decided that the time was right to do it before I decided to invest wisely LOL. We can't wait to take our first long ride on it to Eureka Springs. That is if ya'll will still allow us to be part of the brotherhood. I promise that we will ride in the back as not to embarass the rest of the gang to much. Only 10 more days till the ESRRR and 11 days untill April and I arrive. I can't wait to see you all again. I'm in the midst of it myself right now trying to find a tourer. My time is coming, but I am glad your time is now. I talked to Lou this morning via e-mail and he seems to be doing good. He said that he was going to be mighty upset if we did not all take a ride over to see him and Lori. I think that we all have enough days that we should be able to make that ride over pretty easy. I think that he is REALLY looking forward to it. We need to, kind of, decide now, which day and just plan for it. Bryan's "official" ride is on Thursday. A lot of us don't get there until late Wednesday. So, it's Friday or Saturday. (Duh!!). Anybody have a preference? What do you say, Lou? Which day would be best for ya'll? -Dan

This whole job thing keeping me from going to Eureka has really been an emtional disappointment for me. Especially since I am not going to be able to spend any time with you. As soon as this company transition is completed I'm going to need to take some time off. I would love to make a weekend trip down to see you again. I'll vouch for him, it's an impressive piece of machinery, and alot more fun to ride than I would have thought. Oh well, we'll have my two-wheeled dragon joining the party this year! Not quite as many wheels, but still has 6 cyclinders, 100 horses, and black paint and chrome galore (oh . . . and pretty pinstriping to boot!!). Here at home we've gone to making Dad the full-time tailgunner on that thing (he has a rear bumper!!). If you missed that beast while you are coming up behind us, then you probably didn't see a few of the mini-coopers and other compact cars you ran over along the way either LOL!!! Looking forward to meeting you guys that are going to make it. If Dad hadn't talked so favorably of the people he met and the riding he did last year, then maybe I would have let him go back without me! Plus, this trip will give us a chance to see how his pretty trailer handles a real load of bikes (ACE-T + Valkyrie-T = over 1600 lbs and just over 2600 cc's of displacement!), and how my other new beast (I think Dad told some of y'all about our accident back in November) hauls a good size load! 1 week, 2 days, we'll be there! I'm franticly trying to get my truck and trailer ready in time for this trip. Since the Wing won't fit into the back of my truck, I'm having to trailer it up. We'll see y'all there. On the trip to Lou's place, it makes no difference to me which day we go. Maybe we can play it by ear according to the weather. Remember last year? I was thinking some one was planning to leave out on Sat. If so, then maybe we need to plan a Friday run, and use Sat as back-up in case of wet weather. Seems everyone plans to be there on Friday. Just make sure that he does not drink all that Texas beer on the trip up here. I told Aprl (After5) about it and she is wanting to try it out. The only problem that I can see us having with a Friday run to Lou and Lori's is that is probably the same evening that we will be having BBQ at the Smoke house. I think it is still do-able to leave Eureka Springs in the AM and go visit Lou and Lori then head back to ES to arrive by 5 PM as they have requested. How does that sound to everyone. OH!!!!!
