Very cool. Refresh our memories...How many miles and in what amount of time? Did you use the full 24 hours?

We started/ended in Madison, WI. It tooks us about 23 hours. We lost some time in Chicago between traffic and construction. we also took way to long for meals
All done on the 1999 "T". Keep you knees in the breeze!

Kirk,
It did take a long time to get your certificate, but congratulations. What LD riding is on the agenda for this year? Are you heading to the Honda Hoot this year?

I am going to the Hoot this year... hoping to meet up with some fellow HSATF members.
I am thinking about doing the SS1K all withing the boarders of IA. Got it mapped out. If I get a free weekend, I will probably give it a go. I've done an IBA ride on 2 of the 3 bikes I have. I'm tossing around the idea of doing it on the third... an '85 650 Nighthawk. That would be a challenge for me. The 22 year old seat is not as comfy as I remember... lol I'm sure it has nothing to do with the extra weight I carry around since I was in high school... gotta be the seat! I can get 1K miles if I start in Clear Lake, head north close to the MN boarder and poceed to hit all 4 corners of IA before returning home. I read about somebody doing the SS1k all within the NYC. The police pulled him over for questioning after seeing him got past for the 3rd or 4th time. Keep you knees in the breeze!

That is a great idea, doing the SS1K all within one state.
Looking forward to seeing you in Knoxville.
