Sis and I also had a great time meeting ya'll. The hospitality was great. The food was wonderful. The company was outstanding. We are both glad we got a
chance to visit you, albeit much to short. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

I'm wondering which of them is the turkey?? Maybe both??
Kirk, if Bob wants to go "scout out the area" before grilling the steaks, that might be a good time to grab Sis and run. Otherwise you may want to scrape off the BBQ sauce and see if the steaks look familiar (especially if Sis is "in the little girls room" for a long time). And you might want to watch out if he starts saying things like "I got your gobbler... right here". (The smilie just looks like it's laughing. It's really chewing.)
I'm only warning you because, Bob and Sue used to have a son that is now among the missing. They claim he moved to Seattle (yeah, right). I'd hate to hear that you and Sis suddenly "moved to Seattle" too. Glad you guys had a good time. Ride safe. Putz |

I just realized that we have a "spaz" and a "Putz" both talking to one another. How good could that be?

if you hang around me long enough, you'll know why they call me spaz... True story..
when I starting dating Sis, I worked with her brother. One day at break time (around a whole group of co-workers), he says to me... "Did you hold her hand in the woods, Spaz?" The rest as they say... is history. Now can anybody name that movie???

yep... Meatballs... another great American comedy.
We were having a dicussion about "the best" American comedy. The majority of the people thought "Animal House" was the best. My top 5.... 1. Office Space 2. Caddyshack 3. Monty Python's Holy Grail 4. Animal House 5. Blazing Saddles And please argue with me on this one.

kirk....never saw Office Space, but my favorite vote would have to be Monty Python's Holy Grail. In fact in town this weekend is a play called Spamalot
which is based on Monty Python. I would like to see that.

Alain, I highly recommend "Office Space" to anyone with a humorous bone in their body. After seeing that movie you will giggle every time you see a
red stapler. Bob

The thing about office space... if you have ever worked in the tech industry... or really like the dilbert cartoons... it's right up your alley. Since
I've been a computer geek for a number of years now... I can relate to pretty much everything in that movie. I know those people... It's kinda scary!!

Hey Bob,
Is there still an offer to bunk in your garage while I hunt? I was thinking of staying with my nephew in town... but he keeps saying things like "Oh, we can go out to the bar and..." Cripes, I'm toooooo old to go out to the bars at night and then try to get up early and drag my butt out of bed before the crack of dawn! I'll be sleeping next to the tree instead of looking for turks! I'm hoping to roll into town on Wed nite and start Thur morning. What kind of beer do you like, I'll bring some with me. Thanks!

Hey Kirk....what kind of a Turkey gun do you use? Make & Model. I use a Winchester Model 1300 with walnut stock and fore end. I detected at crack in the
stock which is a shame and I've decided I might try going for a composite stock and fore end instead. I use this gun when I shoot trap. It was the one gun
I did not give up in my divorce, because I knew it could serve many purposes.
Anyone else going turkey hunting this spring? alepel |

For Turkey hunting, I have a Remington 870 SP... the SP just means that it's camo w/composit stock/forearm. It's got a little shorter barrel which is
nice for turkey hunting. 12ga. I really like the composite, you don't have to worry so much about the elements or scratching it up for that matter. Wood
always looks the nicest, but for an all purpose gun, one that gets worked and beat up like mine does... gotta love the composite.
For pheasants, I use Sis' American Arms O/U. I don't have a true gun for trap, since Sis uses the O/U for that.

My son has an 870 and he uses it for trap, using a long turkey barrel and full choke. He does pretty fair with it. I do the same with my Winchester, using a
turkey barrel and extra full choke. I've shot many perfect rounds with this configuration and it embarrasses me to say that I have shot better with my
Winchester than I ever did with my Browning BT99.
Your wife shoots trap!?! How cool is that! She a woman of many talents. alepel |

I have been informed that you will be staying in the house and not the "cabin". That way you will have showering facilities and the like.
Downstairs off the family room there is a spare bedroom, bathroom and even the use of the FR since we don't use it. With just the two of us, with five
bedrooms and three bathrooms there is plenty of room. I drink any lite beer. See you Wednesday night. Bob

Bob,
Thanks! I'll see you Wednesday nite... not sure when I'll get outta town. After supper some time. I was thinking of brining some venison brats... would anybody up there help me eat 'em up? Alain, Funny story about Sis and shooting trap. We used to shoot at the gun club on a company sponsored team with some friends. When we started, I told her... "if you can beat my raw score with your handicapped score, I'll boy you Dairy Queen afterwards". Heck, after a few weeks, I was buying every week! So we had to put a stop to that... she had to beat me with her raw score. She won most improved ladies shooter that year. A couple times, my team was in the running to win the whole enchilada... but we CHOKED BAD on the shootoff.... both times. No title for me!! She often talks about shooting on a team again with her bro and dad. I need to take her up on that. I hope you are not one of these guys... I used to hate shooting with some of the old guys at the range... they always had young kids working and some times they would either let the bird go a little early or a little late. Oh, some of the old guys would let out a huge sigh... give a crusty look and take about 5 minutes getting ready to shoot again. Like the kid just ruined their day. Drove me nuts. I always thought, heck a pheasant isn't going to sit and wait for you to get ready!

I used to reload... just never found the time to do it on a regular basis... plus no good place to permanently put it. I ended up selling it and just buying
shells.
You know the guys I'm talking about... fancy vest, fancy shooting gloves, shooting glasses with the blinders on the sides.... and yes, think they are better than they really are. I liked the guys with a tried and true hunting gone (not a 5700 dollar trap gun), dog in the truck, dip in the cheek... you know... good ole boys... lol. If you aren't laughing and having fun doing it... I don't have time for it
