Posts: 5585 06/03/07 7:38 PM	Tags : None This is my T.....A 1998 that came to me from Wisconsin in late 2006. It had 7400 miles on it and was owned by a 70 year old retired gal who just didn't ride it anymore. It has really been babied and I don't believe it has ever been ridden in the rain before I owned it. From what I could tell she rode it a fair amount in the first year or two but I think it sat a lot after that. I had a few bugs to work out of it but nothing serious or expensive. It has been a great little bike for me but it will probably only remain in my garage through 2009 so if anyone is interested in it, speak early. Thanks, Cold Weather Rider "We want to be free... Posts: 5864 06/04/07 4:39 AM	CWR, What a beautiful red & black T you have! I hope you enjoy it immensely until you can get what you really want. A couple of years ago, I also bought a used bike that had been babied and never ridden in the rain before or even over 50 mph. It was kind of sad that first time I rode it in the rain and saw the pristine beauty fade away as road grit worked its way into every nook and cranny of that bike. I ride way too often to detail the bike back to pristine again. Before moving south at the beginning of 2006 I was also always one that my co-workers and friends thought was crazy because I also rode as early as possible in the Spring and as late as possible in the Fall, but I have no children. Please do not let your obsession come before your kids. Fred

Posts: 16 06/11/07 9:53 PM	Thanks to all who responded.......I feel SOOO lucky to have "stumbled" into such a fine bike for so little money. I just think the world of my T but sadly I will most likely trade up to a full touring bike in a year or two but that depends upon my financial situation at that time. Then I will asking all of your opinions on what it is worth. I think there is no finer bike on the rode for the $4,500 I spent on it........

Since I just got my Tourer a few weeks back, I'm truly enjoying every minute of it. To read where you are already thinking of replacing it almost sounds kind of sacrilegious to me. That's just my opinion because I can't get enough of my T. alepel

Posts: 16 06/14/07 12:23 AM	alepel, Thanks for the response. I tried to look at your bike on you profile and all I saw was the back 1/2 of a black T? I would like to see the rest of it. Black it my ABSOLUTE favorite and I would rather haved a black one than anything else. In regard to my comment about selling it. The truth is that I have alway been a fan of the full-fledged touring bikes and once you've owned one it is tough to ride anything else. I think my T is fine little bike but I am still thinking Gold Wing in a couple of years.....God (and the banker) willing. I am riding the heck out of this bike too! CW Rider

My bike along with all the rest of the forum members can be found in this section of the Members Bikes. The link to my bike is here alepel. Interesting comment you make about the black bikes being your favorite. I feel that the Red and Black bikes are my favorite. I almost had one but this black beauty was virtually sitting in my back yard and I had to jump on the deal. I haven't regretted it for a moment. Still have a lot of customizing to do on it to make it truly my own. alepel

Posts: 5864 06/17/07 5:15 PM	Alain, The maximum picture size for the right hand column of your Profile is 450 pixels wide. If you resize your pictures for that pixel width the whole picture will show up. Fred
