Posts: 622 06/28/07 3:27 PM	Tags : None After the Hoot was over, I had a business meeting in Charlotte, NC. So, I rode the bike there from Knoxville. I left Charlotte at 415pm (Eastern) on Tuesday and headed for home. 1106 miles and just under 22 hours later I rolled into my driveway. My "T" now has over 19,000 on it. One bad thing... it's developed a "rattling". at certain revs, it sound like there's something loose that is rattling. I'm going to have to drop it off soon and get it checked out. Now I just have to figure out an IBA ride on my old nighthawk Maybe the SS1K all within IA?? Keep your knees in the breeze! -Kirk

HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 83 07/26/07 9:52 PM Tail Gunner	I kissed the wife goodbye and departed my home headed north from Corpus Christi, TX at 0200 last Thursday and 20 hours and 1,150 miles later pulled into a hotel in Millington, TN for a much deserved rest. Hooked up with a couple of riders from VA and NC Friday morning out near the Memphis airport and headed south to our destination in Clarksdale, MS where we spent a relaxing Friday and Saturday evening at Ground Zero Blues Club with fellow Wild Pelicans, associates and friends of the Club. I couldn't have asked for better riding on Thursday and the company was even better. Sunday morning at 0500, myself, a couple from Albuqueque and a rider from So Cal headed westward for home. I split of from them east of Oklahoma City for the second half of my ride home. Just North of Dallas, I ran into a gully washer that dogged me all the way across the city. Got dried out as I continued South for Waco, whereI ran into another squall. Got myself under some shelter and waited for it to pass. The last 350 miles was just hot. I hit some late night hwy construction in Austin and spent literally 2 hours walking the bike through Austin because traffic was moving so slowly that I just shut the bike off to get it cooled down. Arrived back home at 0308 with 1,150 more miles on the T. All in all, it was a great weekend...but...I'm pretty sure that I won't be doing any Iron Butts again till it cools down.
