Hi,
this is Lefty464 from Horseshoe Bay TX about 50 miles NW of Austin. I just purchased a 1998 T & will pick it up on Mon 10-29. I am presently riding a 650
V Star, my son has a 2002 Shadow Saber & after riding it, decided it was time to go to a bagger & this bike will be great. I try to do at least 4 big
rallys a year, some short trips 200 to 300 miles & lots of riding in the Hill Country. I may be able to do some longer trips with my new bike.

Howdy from down here on the Texas coast.
Great riding area up there. I'm totally jealous. Down here, one has to ride at least an hour before getting to a road that is not arrow straight. Will you be down at Galveston next weekend for one of your 4 rallies?

Welcome from Alabama, Lefty. You just stumbled upon a gold mine of information regarding the T. Speaking of rallies, there is a must attend T rally that we
have in Eureka Springs, AR the last week of April every year. If danbgt from Houston can make it, then so can you.

Hey Fred,
This year we did Daytona(trailer then rode stayed 6 days) it was fun but probably won't do that again for a while. Aways do the ROT in Austin more watching & partying than riding. Did what is called the 5 State Run up in the Panhandle of TX/Okla. fun ride & my kid lives there. We had the 1st annual Hawgs*N*Hills on a ranch outside of Llano TX in the TX Hill Country, it looks like it will be a ongoing great rally, the riding is great. Did a small one in Okla City called Labor Daze. My oldest who rides a 2002 Shadow Saber always does Sparks which is outside of Tulsa. They are having a good one in Leakey TX on Nov 5th-11th & I am going to try to go with the new bike, nice ride from my house 125 to 150 miles. One for next year will be the T Rally in Eureka Springs AR, bama Trider just told me about in late April. Keep in touch, thanks for the note Lefty |
