what do you do for winterizing your "T"....... |

this is what my husband and I did to get my T ready for winter..new tires, oil change/filter, new headlight, brake pads, fresh gear lube, gas filter, new air
filter and the saddle bags are in my living room...why? cuz they are so pretty...This year it seems to be the time to replace stuff..oh well..I could be
spending my money on foolish things ...

["What do you do to winterize your T"]
That's easy. I just ride it as much as possible, and if it sits for more than a week, then I hook it to a slow charger to keep the battery up to par.

It sounds like you live in the north, so fall & winter are a great time to work on a bike. Some how, I don't mind seeing my bike in small piles all
over the garage if it's raining or snowing outside.

The last ride of the season is always the same. I take it to the spray and wash, then the gas station, then home for an oil change. Then she sits under her
cover until after the Super Bowl. Then she gets a thorough cleaning and waxing plus whatever big maintenance she needs. This winter: Primary gears.

nobody has mentioned STA-BIL gas additive. i do most of what's been mentioned plus add the STA-BIL and sit my bike up on the bike jack just enough to get
the weight off the tires. here in missouri, we sometimes get a few good days for riding during the winter(suppose to be 75 here this weekend), so i like to
have mine ready if the nice weather hits. i've put this bike up for sale, but if i don't get any hits on it, i do plan to modify an indian chief front
fender to it this winter. if it does sell, i'll be looking for a T this winter. if i can find the one i want, will even travel a little for it. i have
difinately decided my next bike will be a T. bud

Here in Texas, I just move my bike to the side of the garage closer to the house. We only have about 2 weekends of winter like the end of Jan, first of Feb.

what a joker you are Dan.
I should be putting the handguards back on before much longer. This might be the last week of temps in the 80s.
