Does someone have a picture of this Valk Cut shield? I'm very interested since I often like to ride sans shield.
Thanks.

"valk cut" Clearview Shield |

I'm about to replace my stock shield with a Clearview. I noticed on some old posts about a "Valk Cut" which makes removal easy if you have a
Cobra lightbar.
Does someone have a picture of this Valk Cut shield? I'm very interested since I often like to ride sans shield. Thanks. |

I bought the Valk cut from Clearview and I have the cobra lamps.I just got done putting the windshield back on yesterday (replacing some spearkers). You still
have to move one lamp and getting to the allen screws are a treat.I don't believe its any easer I've had both windshields but the Valk cut look so much
better to me.Having the lamp poke out of the windshield always looked alittle odd to me.They are a great windshield and just tell them you want the Valk cut
for you T and they'll know what you want

Here is a link to Clearview. It shows the T shield with the optional vent. I just so happen to have a brand new Clearview with vent for a T. It is the +1.5.
It is still in the box from Clearview...never even opened. I see that the wait time on a shield is 7-8 weeks right now.
I would part with the shield for $240.00..that includes shipping to the Lower 48 states. That price should save you about $55.00. My email is bobmeyer at hickorytech.net. Clearview T shield Bob

I thought I needed to replace my stock shield...but I didn't. The shield is still in the shipping box from Clearview. I never even opened it up. Bob

I have the valk cut clearview and really like it. Don't have any pictures, so recommend the ones on the clearview site. You can remove and install it
without touching the lights, at least on my bike. You do have to pull the lights to remove the stock one, unless you want to cut the shield. The clearview is
wider and in my case higher. It is also thicker .. I am glad I bought the valk cut clearview...Bob <><

Okay....I think I've got it now! My Clearview windshield must be like the original because it has the holes for headlamp and turn signals to poke through.
I'm guessing that the "Valk Cut" does not have plexiglass going all around the headlamp and turnsignals.

By the way Coltsjerry...the new Clearview shield has the Valk cut. It would be very easy to install with Cobra spots. Bob

Bob..............
I definitely will be replacing my stock shield with a valk-cut clearview....not sure if I want the vent, though. If I convince myself about the vent, I'll email you. Let me think about it. But you do have the size shield I'm looking for. I'm really glad I checked this forum because I was about to order a new shield w/o the Valk cut. I often like to ride without my shield on short trips because I love the look of the "T" with out the shield. Of course, the T looks great with it, too. I talked to Clearview about it and they were very helpful. I've had my bike 10 years...I should have replaced the shield long ago. |

ColtsJerry,
I have a Clearview, Valk cut +1. I looked for pics, but I couldn't find one that really shows the shield well. I really like the shield, and the folks at Clearview are great to work with. The original has holes for the stock directionals or Cobra lightbar. With that shield (or the stock shield) you have to take the light bar apart to get the shield off. The Valk cut has a cutaway that does not surround the lightbar assembly like the stock shield. That is why windshield removal is so much easier with the Valk cut. Stony

Alain,
These days, home is where we park it. We are currently near Orlando, and very slowly making our way back towards Wisconsin. I got your message on our website's guestbook. Even though we bought our first RV in 1978, we have learned really alot since we've been out on the road. When the time comes for you, I'd be glad to share some of the things we've learned. Stony
