No Dan we survived without any damages. But it did get cold and wet again. But there has been a lot of damage sone in the rest of the state. Even a few deaths.
It was almost as bad as Super Tuesday.

Bryan - if my house sells (I have my fingers crossed as the papers are being signed) do you have room for my 22' Minnie Winnie and trailer or can you
suggest an RV park? Thanks.

Bryan has plenty of room. There is a nice mostly flat area behind the motel that would be good.

Hey Bryan.
Looks like it may be a light crew this year. None of the "old gang" has chimed in. I don't know what has become of Rodney and Larry, Uncle Clay and April. Looks like Rick and John may be busy. No telling about them "northern folks"!!! Anyway. Marsha and I will be there either Monday or Tuesday. Not sure which, yet, but we'll probably be there until Sunday. I'll send Cindy an email reservation as soon as we know for sure. Looking forward to a little time in the Ozarks!!! -Dan

I sure wish we could make it but Sue is nursing a bad ankle. She had surgery on it this past October to repair some tendons that she tore just before we made
the trip to ES two years ago. Just before Christmas she fell down the stairs and broke the same ankle. Now she is in another cast and it just won't heal.
If any of our readers have never been to this event...please do what you can to attend. GREAT people and wonderful riding! Bob |

Bob.....sorry to read about all of Sue's misfortune. She's seems to have had more than her share of bad luck. I hope that things begin to improve for her. The Eureka Springs trip this year is just out of the question for us. We have already planned a trip to LA in March to visit my wife kids and I am booked to go to Americade in June. So a two week trip to Eureka Springs in April is just too much too soon for me.

While I am not part of the 'old gang', I do find ES an intriguing destination. I checked it out on the Web and it looks gorgeous.

I'm officially not going to be able to make it, either. We've got 2 weddings going on that week and Carol is helping with the receptions. I hope to be
able to make it to the Hoot or to Wing Ding this summer, but spring events will be limited to the local stuff.
Anyone that can make the Eureka Springs rally is in for a real treat. I made it to the '06 and even though it rained most of the time, we had a grand old time just hanging out with each other. I do plan to make it back when ever family ties loosen up enough. Stan

Scott,
If we only have motorcycles you could get by with parking the home in the back parking lot. But right now I don't know how many bikes vs cars we will have. If your looking for an RV park try Wunderlust (800-253-7385) or the Kettle Campgrounds (479-253-9100). Or just go to the www.eurekasprings.org web site and check out the campgrounds page. Well I am sorry to hear this may be an off year for this event. I looked at the 06 and 07 postings and it looks like you had a good turn-out. Even so, I am
considering going to this event (we have to try to keep a good tradition going). My plans had been to ride East to Ohio and then south to the Hoot, but those
plans are in the hands of someone else. So now I am looking for options in case the ride East falls through. I'm glad there is an event that is not half
way across the country for me. The month of April has me a little worried though. It is still possible to get some heavy snow during April in Colorado.
I'll keep an eye on this thread and let you know when my plans look more definite.

Hey big guy. Long time no see. Glad to hear I'm not going to be the only original cast member to be there.
Still haven't heard hide-nor-hair from April, her new hubby.....what's-his-name, Rick and his boy John. Through The Fog has dropped off the face of the Earth. Andy is still non-commital. Putz has disappeared. Bob, Al, and Stan can't make it. Looks like me and the misses will be getting there about Tuesday. Still not totally sure. Looks like we'll be trikin' up there this year. Look forward to seeing you and QL. Glad he got his T!! -Dan

I made my reservation at Wanderlust RV park for the 19th to the 28th. I'm bringing a Harley friend with me. My little Winnie is going to be following his
diesel pusher around the south for a few months.
Good to hear another green and cream T will be there. They are the prettiest (when they're clean - which mine isn't). Scott "Silence is golden, duct tape is silver" |
