Global Warming - I wish!!! |

|
Off-season is always too long, but this winter just won't let go. I bought my T just in time to ride it over to the local service station, fill the tires,
put stabil in the tank, ride it back home and put her in storage. Wow - 3 whole miles... Am I EVER going to be able to enjoy myT?

Ask me this question again in about 4 months. I'll send pictures of where you can find global warming then. LOL

i'm with you rabbi....been a long winter here in k.c. also. we haven't had big snows, but just about the time one melts and it's all gone, another
comes along. average temp now is suppose to be around 45-50 and just heard on the news temp in the morning will be 8!!!
i figured with my luck we'd have about 70 degree temps this week, as i took the carbs off my bike and sent them in for re-jetting. with the bike down, thought the temp would rise, but that hasn't happened. just hope all this doesn't mean we're going to have a cold spring. springtime and fall are my favorite riding times. bud |

Local forecast for today in Upstate New York is snow beginning at 4:00 PM, then all day Saturday and then Sunday morning it is expected to stop with minimum 12
inches on the ground.
Then Tuesday I expect to be walking along the beach in Santa Monica.

I remember winter 2001, I just bought my T on Dec 10th, got to ride a few times then had to store it for 3-4 months. Seemed like a lifetime.
I live on the other side of town from Tony. Literally, he can have sun & blue skies and I will be under a foot of snow. Something called Lake Effect, the way Lake Erie and NE Ohio line up. Al knows a lot about this as Buffalo gets it even worse. In the past ten or so years, our snowfall has been significantly less. There were times in the mid-60's and 70's when everything was shutdown because of snow. Now, it seems, we only get 2-3 big storms each season. As Stan has said, you want to see global warming, wait a few months. I can tell you, sitting in traffic on a southern freeway, temps in the mid to high 90's is not a lot of fun either. Spring and Fall riding has got to be the best. Andy |

Rabbi Glenn, you sound like - how is it Jon Stewart puts it; oh, yeah - an old jew!

That's me. 49 years YOUNG and a whiny, fair-weather biker
On the other hand, maybe I should start praying for an extended winter in the Northeast, and blame it on Gary...

Rabbi, I have been trying to figure out what the letters on your tag stand for, and can only come up with this one;

Cheer up guys, spring generally moves north 15 miles a day given the same altitude. In the Charlotte area we saw our first daffodils and buds on the Bradford
Pear trees Feb. 16th. Those same Bradford Pear trees started to bloom March 6th. Other white and pink flowering trees are also blooming here despite freezing
temperatures. Considering Cleveland and Des Moines are at a latitude about 450 miles north of Charlotte that would put daffodils blooming in those areas in a
couple of weeks and the blooming of Bradford Pear trees et. al. by the first week in April. Southern Michigan should have a same a week later than Cleveland
and Des Moines.

bamaTrider wrote: Sorry Glenn....but that is really funny! Well here it is Sunday and it has snowed all night Friday and all day Saturday and all evening Saturday. There is so much snow all over the place we look like the North Pole. My driveway has been plowed three time in 48 hours. I've had enough! I'm leaving for LA on Tuesday and I'm never coming back. Oh wait! My Tourer is still here. Yes I'm coming back for it. But while I'm gone I'm not going to think about this place.
