After an 03 Nighthawk 750, an 04 Shadow Sabre, an 00 Kawasaki Concours, I came back to the Shadow and picked up a 98 ACE tourer. What a bike. Needed the carbs cleaned and the cam chain makes a little click now and again (it has only 20K), but it's a great ride. Here's my question:
The original owner replaced the stock windshield with a national cycle heavy duty windshield. It stinks. Not enough coverage, too much wind around the head at hwy speed.
I saw that Clearview makes a better windshield that only fits the stock hardware. And there is the problem. I don't have the stock hardware or windshield.
What is the best replacement windshield and can anyone suggest a reasonably affordable way to get a better windshield OR the original hardware for the bike and windshield so I can buy the Clearview?
