you don't have to have a "T" to attend this event. We will be on the GW this year.
Even though you can't make it to the Ride Rally Ride, try to make it up there some other time. I guarantee you'll love it!!

Hi Rod. Good to hear from you.
Hope you and Larry can work out staying for the ride on Thursday. Marsha and I will not be getting there untill Wednesday evening. I would sure hate to miss see y'all. The kids won't be there this year. She's expecting and they have a lot of other things going on!! I have no clue as to what has happened to Uncle Clay and After 5. Rick and John seem to have disappeared also. Through-the-fog was non-committal. (Although he does need to be commented!!). Also haven't heard much from Galerich. Most of the "northerners" have bailed on us. -Dan

Hey guys,
It just sucks when life gets in the way of riding. Cindy and I
are waiting with anticipation for everybody to arrive. It will be good to see our fourm friends again. I'm saddened to see so many won't be able to
make it this year but will hold onto hope for 2009. Those that can make it I can guaranty a good time. As to the comments about which bike is being ridden WHO CARES!!! Just ride on
in.
We have had a wet March so I'm hoping we'll be rained out by the end of April. No guaranties on that though. So come prepared. Ride Safe Byran and Cindy |

I'm looking at about 1,400 miles round trip from Michigan. Since April could still be snow and cold, I'd have to trailer again. The motel is a great
bargain. But our tow vehicle gets 12 mpg. So ... lemmesee ... that ends up being $400 for fuel ... plus food etc. We'd love to come and could still splurge
the $ for the trip. But it's doubtful. (maybe a way to spend the tax rebate? I dunno)

Oh!! Come on Rich!!
The course I have plotted out, we're going to burn up more miles than that just getting there. It's only money. Live a little. And, besides, it would sure be nice to see y'all again. -Dan

Hmmmm ... you must be going through California on the way to ES?
Maybe I could pull my trailer behind my poor little 4-cylinder pickup. Probably need to add a nitro container to get above 45 mph on the up hill parts. - rich |

Rich, My Minnie Winnie gets just under 10 miles per gallon towing the T in an enclosed trailer and it has brought me from Bremerton, WA to Goodyear, AZ so far.
I'll be staying at the Wonderlust RV park for the ride. I look forward to meeting you all.

Sounds like the ES Party is shaping up to be a good time. I can still recall shedding the cautiousness around the hot tub that night after dinner. It sure
didn't take us long to ruin each others reputations that night! None of us have been the same since, and I think that is good..
Have a great time everyone. Bob |

No Rich. Not California.
We are going across Louisiana to Mississippi, up the Natchez Trace to Nashville, north across the west end of Kentucky into Indiana, west across the south end if Illinois into Missouri then, southwest down to Arkansas to Eureka Springs. It a 600 mile straight shot from Houston to ES, but we have made that haul three times, with three slightly different routes. We decided to do it different this time. This will also be our first time out for a "real ride" since we got wacked by that car last year in that town that I don't say out loud anymore!! I didn't mention that we will also cross the corner of that state also, but we don't say that one out loud right now either. (Sorry Stan). -Dan

Dan, I just took a trip up to Savannah,Tn via Hwy 69 and part of the Natchez Trace was closed just east of TN Hwy 69. There is a detour off of Hwy 69 but
don't know the extent of it. May or may not be a problem but thought I should mention it.

Uncle Clay Checking in | #54 | ||
|
Hi Guys and Gals,
Sorry that I have been so long checking in but this has not been a very good winter with me having the leiukemia and now my 83 yo dad has lung cancer again. I am not sure that we are going to be able to make it to the ride this year. If we do it will be Friday night or Saturday before we could get there. I was off looking for work for 3 months and have just recently found gainfull employement LOL so taking time off now is kind of hard. April and I are leaving this Friday to meet a group that my brother rides with. We are going to Vicksburg MS for the 4th annual Mississippi Annual Crawfish Hunt. A little ride they have every year. This will be the fist time that we have had the bike out since December. We hope to see you all in April and hate that we will miss the Lou Brown Memorial Ride. Uncle Clay |

Hello Clay.....hey trying to throw some of us off with that new sign-on name? It worked in the beginning. It seems that a lot has happened in your life besides
what we already knew about. Wow....your plate is really full! But it's good to hear from you again. Sure missed your banter here on the forum.
I hope that the health issue your facing is not too severe. I know so little about it.

Clay,
Sorry to hear about the health problems, Brother. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. What happened to the job?? I've been going through the same ordeal. I've been off since November 6th. I just accepted a contract position at about half the pay I'm accustomed to, and I'll only be home on the weekends. At least it's some pay to keep me going while I continue the search for something better. Please pass along our hello's to April. Take care of yourself. Putz |

Hi UC.
Glad to hear from you. Sorry things aren't going so well. Hang in there bro. Not sure how/if the Lou Brown Memorial ride will work out. Marsha and I will not be getting there until late Wednesday. Try and get over just for a visit, if nothing else. I'd sure like to give you a big ole hung.........well, that's actually just an excuse to give April a big ole hung!!! Hope to see you!! Don't answer that mktobob guy. He ain't ridin' no more. (As in "panty waste".) -Dan

Sorry to hear about all your woes, Clay. Seems to be something contagious about it lately. I barely dodged the bullet on cancer myself last fall. Makes me want
to go out and take out a cancer policy. Carol and I will be thinking of you and April as you two deal with all of this.

Great to hear from you Clay. I'm sorry to hear about all the issues you're having to deal with. Just remember you and April are in a lot of thoughts
and prayers around here.
