Phaedrus, I have read that book 3-4 times. I figured that your name was taken
from it. That particular book contains some incredible logic and clarity. I wish you
a long chitaqua. I also hope you don't have to endure much more electro-shock "therapy".

Rabbi Glenn, I live in South Lyon. I worked in Southfield for 4-5 years.
It's too bad I never made the connection as I suspect we could have some great
conversation and riding. Who knows, it's not too late yet.

Ragtop, you are a great guy. I have enjoyed hooking up with you at random times.
I would enjoy it even more if it wasn't most often at Patriot Guard missions. I wish I had
time to do more with the Guard.

As for me, I got my nickname from a great guy that I have known for 25 years, or so.
We used to pick on each other endlessly. We started calling each other "Putz" and "Schmuck"
about 15 or so years ago. It came from the movie "Grumpy Old Men". I have been
using Putz as my handle all over the internet. I even have a hat with "Putz" monogrammed
on it. Ray (Schmuck) and I even changed our names on the internal phones to Putz and Schmuck
for a while, until the President of the company asked us to change them back so he could figure
out who he was talking to.

Schmuck has since retired and moved to Houston where his 5 grown children all live.
Schmuck and I realized many years ago that we had very similar lives. We both have
5 kids, we both ride motorcycles, we both worked in telecom, our wives are almost mirror
images in personality (they're both a lot meaner than either of us). Our motto where the
wives are concerned is... "Yes, Dear...No, Dear...I don't know, Dear". I used that motto as
my tidbit of advide to my new son-in-law on their wedding videos. I have often referred
to my wife, on this forum, as Mrs. Putz. She doesn't like it at all.

Those of you that know me can confirm the appropriate nature of my nickname.
I'm a Putz. I also have a number of "others" that seem to live inside me. At least we seem to
share the same body. You just never know what will come out of my mouth. I've been
pretty tame recently. I'm sure that somewhere on this forum, there are some pokes
and prods surviving.

Great topic, Gary. I'm sure glad that you re-surfaced. You were pretty quiet for a few months.
