How could I have stayed away from here so long. You folks truly are my family and I love each and every one of you.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Luekemia last February. I am told that if I have to have any of the Luekemia's that CLL is the best one to have. I am at stage "0" of 6 stages which is a good thing. I go to Doc every 3 months for check ups and so far my numbers have come down instead of going up which is another good thing. I am still doing everything I want to do and refuse to let anything get me down. Have already been through the worst that could happen to a parent (losing a child) so every thing else is gravy.
On the Job deal....well I got in a pissing contest with a Warden and he won. No concessions for giving 23 years (half my life) to the state prison system with no disciplinary action. However as my motto has always been "This to shall pass" and it did!
Arkansas has two corrections systems The Arkansas Department of Correction where I worked and the Arkansas Department of Community Correction which where I now work as an instructor in their Law Enforcement Academy.
My old job was one in which I woke up each morning dreading have to go to work for this particular warden. Now I once again look forward to going to work. Best of all I did not lose my retirement time which would let me retire in less than two years if I decide too.
I did take a cut in pay but it will not effect my retirement pay so it all looks pretty good.
I really hope that we are able to come up to Eureka even it is for a day or two. We miss all of you and look forward to seeing the family again.
Hey Dan, I was not really suprised by you April Fools joke. Actually I figured that anyone who swapped two wheels for three would end up swapping 3 wheels for 4 or 6. Heck, April just said the next time we see you would probably be in wal-mart driving one of those little electric buggies LOL You are TOO COOL my friend.
Not sure why it is signing me in this way but what ever works to get on the YUCK thing.
Ride Safe My Friends,
Uncle Clay and After 5
