Hi Stony, I was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Appleton. I lived in Green Bay (on Packerland Drive, no less) for a few years before I moved to FL in '99.
Dad lives in Menasha, and my Mom lives on the shores of Lake Iola. I see you're from central WI - where?

Hi, Dawn.
Born in Milwaukee as well. Lived and worked there all my life. Moved to a small township called Plymouth. Not the Plymouth that is east of Lake Winnebago. The Plymouth I call home is between Mauston and Elroy in Juneau County. BTW. Don't worry about non-T's at this event. People have shown up driving anything from a Harley to a Toyota.

Thanks, Stony, I always figure it's better to ask than just assume it's okay! I sent you a message about WI, so I don't continue to hijack this
thread!

Not to worry ED. The folks let Alain attend, therefore proving that anything goes.

There seems to be a bit of a vacuum here since Andy baled so I started to look at some hotels. For the most part I can see three options. Stay in
clarksburg. 70 to 90 a night with hot tubs.

Tony,
Several times I have ridden on WV 18, 20 & 39, US 50, 33 & 219, OH 800 & 78. All of them are both fun and scenic roads. You may be a bit ambituous in your mileage. Usually our group does best riding 175 to 250 miles per day. That leaves lots of time for kibitzing.

One tank of gas equals 135 miles equals Miller time.

Hi all,
I haven't been able to hang out in this forum like I used to. I actually have to pay attention at work, something I'm not used to.
Did I read on here somewhere that you folks are considering a New England version of the T-Rally? Possibly in conjunction with Americade? If so, did you narrow down a date or dates yet? Would you like a guide/escort/scout through Connecticut? I'd love to apply. Greg

Greg.....how are you my friend?
When Andy (CleRider) was here, he had proposed a 'tour' of sorts through portions of Pennsylvania, New York and a portion of Vermont. I believe that they were in conjunction with the Americade. Some interest was expressed in the idea, but it kind of fell by the wayside. Now with Andy's departure there is no one to champion this event.

Fred,
Your probably right on the mileage; no let me reword that, you are right. A number of us talked about cuting down the mileage last year. I knew I wanted to be less this year but got excited with all those great roads. That's why I put them in there. I guess I forgot what the number should be. Just trying to stimulate some conversation.

For one of the other rallies I attend, we do a smaller loop in the AM, about a tank's worth, then stop for lunch at a pre-determined place and time. Anyone
who wants to go back to hotel (IE: hot tub and pool) does, and those who didn't ride in the AM can meet up with the group for lunch. The afternoon loop is
a bit longer run, and we meet up for dinner near the hotel at a pre-determined time. Of course, "pre-determined time" means "within an hour
of", because we stop to sightsee and take pics!
Yes, the group riding is fun, but my favorite part of the rally is the chance to talk story in person with folks I've only met online. Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

Hi Al,,
Things are going swimmingly here in Connecticut. Spring has finally sprung. How's Rochester look these days? I was sorry to hear about Andy's departure. Although I am not planning on going to Americade, if any of you are planning on passing through Connecticut, I'd love to hook up with you, maybe show you a "shortcut" or two. Talk to you soon. Greg

Tony, don't Brian and Terry Bach live in that area? Maybe they can help with routes.
Thanks for doing the planning. BTW. A one-tank ride each day is fine with us.

Robb,
Brian and Terry do live right around there. I hope they are listening, I haven't seen them around here much lately, I've been thinking they would be a huge help. I hear you on the mileage.
