Good Morning |

Hi, My name is Larry. I recently purchased a black 2000T after being out of the sport for about 10 years raising two wonderful children. My last bike was a 86
Honda magna which I liked very much. I originally started looking for a shadow spirit 1100, thought hard about a Harley, test drove a goldwing, entertained the
idea of a VTX1300 and 1800 new and used as there are some smokin good deals on carry overs. I then stumbled on this 2000T which was in A-1 condition with 7500
miles and did some research (mainly on this website) and decided to make the buy. VERY happy so far. A short history of myself. 8 years US Air Force, (should
have stayed in), Full time truck driver (LTL, home every day) Part time custom cabinets, solid surface countertops. Awesome Website, Thanks for all the info.

Welcome Larry to the forum from Upstate New York. Glad you decided to join us and with a Tourer of your own. You are soon going to find out that all the hoopla
on this forum about the Tourer is for real. We all love this model. I think that you will find that the owners are pretty special too. Our little fraternity
genuinely cares about one another and motorcyles are not all that we talk about.
I see from your little bio that you live outside of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Back in 1967 I was driving through Wisconsin during a horrible storm on my way to Grand Forks AFB. I could drive no further and I spent the night in Eau Claire. That was the snow storm from Hell! Then for some reason Eau Claire became my regular overnight stopping point as I travelled back and forth from Grand Forks to my home in New York. If your looking for help or advice on your T this is the place for it. Someone will have the answers or at least give you a shoulder to cry on. Again welcome and I'm looking forward to 'talking' with you more in the future.

Hi Larry, and welcome from a former Wisconsinite (family's still in Iola and Menasha). You are lucky to have found a low mileage T - besides, any T right
now is worth it's weight in gold! You are gonna love the T more with each ride you take. Enjoy and ride safe!

Thanks for the welcome Dawn, What ever made you leave such a beautiful state, besides the high taxes. lol. It was actually your post that I last read and made
me decide to go with the Dunlop Elite 3 and ordered it from Dennis Kirk yesterday to arrive today. My bike has the original D206 rear with 7500 miles, slick
down the center, and yes I knew that when I bought the bike. Other than that mint. I will post pics later. Have a great weekend. This site is a priceless
wealth of information. Thanks to all.

Welcome to the group Larry and congrats on your T. The 2000's are the fastest ones so be careful out there.

I still love WI, at least in the 4 short weeks of summer you have!! LOL! I do NOT miss that snow and cold (or those high taxes) one tiny bit. UGH! This
beach baby was drawn to FL, and enjoyed about 6 years there before my hubby's company moved to Danville, VA. Life is an adventure, and I love seeing new
places anyhow. But I'm sure you understand travel, having been in the Air Force and being a truck driver (my Dad is a retired Lt. Col.).
