Skidro.....we have seen a few occasions where forum members had more than one Tourer and you are right. It is the best thing to see.

Hi Gary! Thanks for the comments. So far, I've had my friends gather around the bike at our weekly dinners, and they keep saying they see something new
everytime they look at it. That feels so good to an artist!
Those soft liners are a PERFECT fit and soooo handy for the T's hard bags - but I have to be careful putting them into my saddlebags because of the rear lighting wiring that runs through my bags. I keep the everyday riding essentials in one (duct tape, couple of garbage bags, towel, spare t shirt, handi-wipes - I collect a lot of rocks, first aid kit, DeLorme Gazetteer map, my trip/mileage log, spare doo rag, flashlight, fuses, rain gear, binoculars). That bag stays in all the time, and there's still room to throw quite a bit more more stuff in that side. I sometimes carry a few nature guide books, when I am heading out to the woods. Camera, cell phone, wallet, water go in at the last minute. I also found a very nice tank bag about a month ago at WalMart in the automotive section for $24.99! It is expandable and has the map pocket on the front, and a smaller zip pouch right at the end for a camera or cell phone. The bags were on clearance from $29.99, so I don't know if they still carry them. Just make sure there is no grit or dust on your tank when you put those magnets onto your tank or you may scratch the paint over a long haul. Gary, it took me awhile to get used to the different sounds that a shaft drive makes, compared to the chain on my 600. Could that be some of what you are hearing? Also, my old tires made an odd humming/vibrating noise when I would go around curves or weave the bike, due to the tread pattern. Be sure to check out the technical discussions, as they may have info on noises you're hearing. There's a lot of info here to digest, but the HSATF members are so helpful, it would be a good idea to do a search on "noises" - you may end up reading a lot of threads, but you'll gain a lot of insight into the T's quirks! As far as the t-shirts, the personalized ones are from the acetourer.com store. The thread is located in General Discussion under "Forum Tees". Here's a snippet with the info you need: (quoted from SoftMist:) "You asked for it (well, Skip did anyway ) and now you got it. The "Official" HSATF tees are available now at the ACETOURER.COM Online Store. Available in adult sizes S - XXXL, and they're personalized. Just fill in your EZB handle at checkout and you'll get your very own unique t-shirt! SoftMist P.S. Now we have a HSATF Cafe Press Store where you can get other forum logo goodies, but without the personalization." Sounds like you are enjoying your T. You will grow more fond of her, the longer you are together. She has such a great personality, doesn't she? Enjoy, and be safe. Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

the stuff you mentioned you carry sounds real handy. and yes I will keep looking and probably asking alot of questions about my (sounds) .. I have already
found a post on the rear brake noise I have. I think I just really need to dig in and check everything out real well..oh yes the tank bag you mentioned! my
neighbor gave me one! nice guy! and I already ordered the ( T ) shirt!!!...again gorgous bike dawn....see you in the forum! and to alapel, I can only wish for

Thank you, Bud, Bob and Keith. Gary, I'm hoping to get my hubby to take a long trip out to the beautiful parks and sights of the West one year - he's
never been, and it's been way too long since I've been out there. Sounds like you are well into "accessorizing fever"!
Alain, those are such wonderful shots of the the "family"! But the more pics I see of other T's, I'm beginning to think that mine is the only white one...now I'm on a scavenger hunt to see if I can find another white one. You DO know that is a fallacy about black being the fastest? White is the fastest because it's "lighter"!!

Dawn,
That's not a bike... it's a piece of art work. Wish I had 1/10 of your artistic skills. Hope to see it in September. Andy |

Thank you, Andy. I really hope to make it to the rally in September, too.
As far as the artistic skills, I've had a brush or pencil in my hand my entire life, starting my "career" drawing on our walls when I was just a tot. I was lucky enough to have parents who encouraged our creative journeys. Seriously, ANYONE can do it with perserverance and practice. You just have to draw what you see, not what your mind tells you that you see. It's just shapes! I've been "practicing" for over 40 years, so if I didn't have some wee bit of artistic "muscle" built up by this time, perhaps I should've burned my easel a long time ago.
