alepel, those were great pics of the bikes! I noticed some of them had an air breather on the side? and your discussion about your artwork( cracked me up) !
can always count on a smile when you look around the forum. I saw all the damage on news in virginia , I certainly hope all is ok! prayers go out to the people
in the storms path.....skid

My husband was delivering one of his armored vehicles to the Richmond SWAT team during the storms. None of the officers warned him about the tornados, and he
drove right through Colonial Heights. I was frantically trying to get a hold of him to let him know about the WX. He had NO CLUE, but got home safely.
They got hit hard out there. Huge prayers up for the families who's lives have been uprooted. Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

Dawn,
I used to draw when I was in high school (68-72). Had some rather interesting pictures on my bedroom wall... definitely influenced by the culture of the late 60's and early 70's. In one picture was my two year old sister, with a set of headphones on... I think I was introducing her to the fine talents of James Marshall Hendrix. Any way... I was sent to the guidance consoler who strongly recommended that I stop this silliness and pursue an alternative career in electronic or computers. I saw the photo within the past year. Will have to search the house this weekend and post. Andy |

Andy, I'd love to see it! (Jimi was incredible, wasn't he?) "Had some rather interesting pictures on my bedroom wall... definitely influenced by
the culture of the late 60's and early 70's." I had all kinds of goofy art on my walls, too...hard to remember it, though, and I was a few years
behind you...I was at the tail end of the hippie days, but still have that hippie-chick heart! LOLOL
Don't you think it's sad that we are ALL so creative and imaginative and open-minded as children and the world does it's best to "squash" it out of you? There is a great book called, "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron, and she teaches you how to bring back that creative child who has no fear of artistic failure by having "artist's dates" with yourself (it's lots of fun) and journaling and lots of other exercises. Superb stuff. Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

Thanks Gary, the hubby was just a bit wet when he got home, but none the worse for wear..
What the heck was it about basements being the 70's hangouts? LOL Our parents let us paint the basement rec room walls and floor black! Then we hung all those flourescent posters you're talking about, and we used to have blacklight parties with our friends down there, listening to all kinds of cool music. We hung all kinds of weird stuff down there, too - Spencer's kind of stuff like shrunken heads and monster faces and dirt bike parts in fishing nets. I guess it was a good way for our 'rents to make sure we stayed home and out of trouble. Little did they know we'd sneak out in the middle of the night and go skinny dipping at the pond with wood taken from our wood pile for a bonfire, and a few beers snuck out of the fridge when we were about 15 years old - I finally got up the nerve to tell my Mom about that last year, and I'm 47!!! HAHA! Man, I'm having some major flashbacks...and as far as doing it again...you should see my studio! LOL! It's a museum of weirdness and fun! Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

Alain, c'mon, you're just a teenage boy at heart, I know it!
I have the mind of a 15 year old, but some days my body makes me feel like I'm going on 100. *sigh* Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

skidro, I figured you'd be happy with those bags! *happy dance* I just love the fact that they are shaped perfectly for the T. They really are nifty with
all those little slots for various items, aren't they? I put a little notebook in mine that has every mile logged since I got the T - also where we went,
who we rode with, when I filled her up with gas, when we did any work on her. I did that with my VLX600, too, and it is so fun to go back and flip through the
past rides. The first thing I do when I get home from a ride is to log Matty's mileage and jot a note about the ride.
My age rolls away on the bike, too, for I feel rather bad*ss whenever I hop on the T...then I wake up the next morning and my bones feel like an old woman (arthritis and costochondritis...bleeeccchhhh). Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!

Dawn,
Looked through the thread before asking, but where did you get the bag liners? I saw the post about the tank bag at Wally World, but didn't see anything about the liners. The Wife might like those for her T |

Hi Don! I read your post in my Women on T's thread, too. Have your wife jump in, as this sure is a nice bunch of folks here, and I'm sure she'd
enjoy it. I'm glad to hear she's enjoying her T!
Here's the link to the bag liner thread, and I posted a pic in there of what they look like: http://hondashadowacetourer.yuku.com/topic/8496 There are so many topic areas to explore here, it takes awhile to get around and discover all the great info! Live It, Love It, Paint It, Ride It!
