i'm a little curious about the differences between the T and other shadow models. when i bought Halfbreed, i was surprised to find it had drum rear
brakes(spirit model), but the aero i just bought is three years older and it has disc on the rear. what does the T have and also wondered about the wheelbase.
have tried to find the T's, but can't locate those specs. the aero has a 61.1" wheelbase and it seems i remember reading someplace it was 1"
longer than other models.
anybody have specs on the Tourer model? thanks, bud |

Bud,
Before I bought my T, I was seriously looking at a Spirit, as the bike fit me well. When I asked about the rear drum brakes, I was told that Honda was trying to re-capture the look and feel of the earlier ACE bikes thinking the rear drum brake was important to the marketing campaign. |

thanks scott,
guess the T is about four inches longer than the aero. that doesn't surprise me, but what does is the dry weight of the aero is 623.9 lbs. looks like the bags, exhaust, and maybe a few other things would make the T the heaviest. i know the aero came stock with the driver floorboards, and it has the chrome metal pieces on the front fender, but looks like the bags/exhaust would outweight that. wonder where the extra weight comes from on the aero. are the fenders on the T metal or fiberglass? just curious. they're both awesome bikes, i had forgotten how much i liked the other aero i had, and i'd probably like the T even better, but this will have to do for now. later, bud |

thanks stan,
that's a pretty comprehensive set of specs there. that weight sounds about right. just couldn't believe there was almost 50 lbs. difference between the bikes and that the aero was the heaviest. the one thing i find odd is that the floorboards came standard on the aero and not on the T. seems it would have been the other way around. but, even the old goldwings didn't come with factory floorboards. later, bud |

Stan, I think the stats you found are closer to the truth than what I found. Thanks for sharing.
