well, guess i did need to do a little cleaning on the aero. when i got to looking, it needed a good detail, but was still in overall good shape for a 10 year
old bike. unbelieveable was the condition the wire wheels were in. not a bit of rust or corrosion and they were real clean in between the spokes.
took it apart and did the cleaning thing and now waiting for new bags, chrome wheel hub, tail light visor, and rear fender bib(will probably run it solo a lot), and maybe a couple other things. got all the fluids changed out and had an expensive oil change. had it on the m/c jack and went to tighten the rear end drain plug and it got off balance and fell over against a table i had in the garage. only thing it did was break the windshield, and sort of glad it did. the guy had put a blue tinted windshield on a black/silver bike and i didn't like it when i first looked at it. got a black tinted memphis fats and like it a lot better. ordered a new set of leather bags, but have been seriously thinking of using the bates bags that are on the hondamatic. would have to paint them. will see what the new ones look like when they get here.
