Just checked by bank on-line and my tax rebate was deposited electronically this morning!! But the bad news, our water softener just went out two days ago
... oh well ... guess that made the decision on where to spend the $ easy!!

Got my rebate this morning also. I think I'm just going to look at it in my account for awhile. It's not too often I get to see money like that just
sitting there. By the way where is my JP catalog?

Well what to do with my rebate? Oh help to pay my property tax which has almost tripled this year.

Interesting. That looks like a reasonable price compared to most. The local water softener guy quoted between $1,000 & $2,500 to which I replied
"Thanks I'll give it some thought ..." Found out my company private labels water softeners and sells at Lowes. Being a loyal employee, I'm
trying one of our own. I'll see first hand how it fares. ("Honey I just spent YOUR half of the tax rebate on a water softener! I know you will enjoy
it!"

a stay at home mom (my wife) does not get any just me and the kids, does not seem fair somehow. should not complain I guess its all "found money"

I have a stay at home mom/wife also. We still file taxes jointly even though I am the only one employed a outside of the home and drawing wages. She got a
rebate as a result.

You all act as if the government is giving you something!
You are only getting back a little bit of what they had no business taking (stealing) in the first place. Our return on investment has been pretty lousy
lately.
And to make matters worse we are now paying $4 a gallon for gas to bail out the crooked banking system
