I currently have the sissy bar with a Mustang pad on it, an aftermarket luggage rack that seems to sit at an angle (it's not flat, but kind of leaning "up" a few degrees and I have a Kuryakyn Grand Tour bag mounted on it. It holds a good deal, but a hard locking trunk like a Givi, a Shad or a JC Whitney would be nice. I need one with a decent back pad for the passenger. I've seen a lot of what looks like garbage on ebay, etc. Anyone have a good, working suggestion for a hard trunk that will hold a full face helmet and will not make it too difficult to open the stock bags? As of now I have to flex the stock lids when opening them. Your input and photos would be appreciated!

HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 89 05/11/08 1:06 AM	I really wanted a trunk, specifically for a 3500 mile roadtrip I am taking. My two biggest requirements were: 1. could hold a fullface and coat, 2. HAD to be quick detach - so as to not greatly impede access to my bags. I ended up getting a JC Whitney style quick detach trunk for around 30 buck new on Ebay. It is not pretty, but it does look kind of cool and best of all it is quick detach so I can still easily get to my bags. Only issue for you is that the backrest seems to be a little low and a little firm - i.e. hard plastic as opposed to a padded affair like others. In my case, I did not so much care about appearances as it was specifically for a road trip. the trunk I got was inexpensive. I personally will not use it all the time as A. The bags give me plenty of room for casual use, and B. I love being able to swing my leg over without worrying about a sissy bar or trunk. My JC whitney style trunk works GREAT for me ! Waterproof and can handle a fullface and coat - and is lockable, waterproof and quick detach-

I have been trying to save up enough money to get the saddle bags. If you end up getting a trunk let me know I would be interested in the parts that you have left over if you won't be needing them Thanks, Joel
