Added a couple new mods to the wife's "T" This past week. First long trip we took, she complained about needing a thottle lock. WE both had cheap JC Whitney plastic ones in our former riding lives, but this time I bought the excellent Breakaway control. Very high tech and looks right at home on her bike with a nice satin aluminum finish. No need to remove the grips, it even fit over the fat Kuryakyn grips. But it did take a day to adjust, this thing is rube goldberg with about 7 or 8 ways to adjust and if you touch any one, you have to fiddle with all the rest. Once set, it works like a charm.

then we added Kuryakyn pegs to the crash bar. Now we just need to find her a better helmet.

Alepel, Sorry to take a few days to get back to you. The fender tip was on the bike when we got it, I thought it was factory along with the light. But it fits fine, fooled me thinking it was factory. Have no idea what brand or how hard it was to put on. Sorry.

Eclectic, I love going on rides with my wife. She gets that same silly grin I do at the end of the day.

Also, we sent her seat off to a guy in Florida that does GREAT seat mods, at least according to a couple of my STAR group riding buds. He charges $50 to mod your seat with better foam, and to shape it. and another $25 if you want a gel pad insert for max comfort. HE does not mess with any new cover, just uses your old one. Has 24-48 hour turnaround, and said he would have ours on the way within 36 hours now that he is out of the early spring rush.

He is: seems like a super nice guy to work with, great communication. he appreciated that I took off the passenger seat and all hardware when sending it in since Jan won't be carrying any passengers for any distance. Saved us on shipping cost too! You ship the item yourself with an enclosed return label, and that way you control shipping cost and method totally, and know his price 100% up front. I will report how she likes the seat. Also, I will try her sheepskin pad, and see if I want to add one to my bike.

We also ordered the sheepskin pad that he recommends on his site.

Jan took a 300 mile ride with us last Sunday and was hurting in the seat now that we solved the pegs, and Breakaway throttle lock. I was lucky, my bike was basically comfortable from the get go, but Jan is very particular being a rider of horses, she is used to a saddle that really fits. So we both hope this mod is a good one. We have some big rides coming up.
