HSATF 2nd Officer Posts: 445 05/06/08 6:45 PM	Well, "windows live local" is news to me. Thanks for the link, Tony. Cool stuff! I took it for a test run, and actually found the little dumpy gas station out in the boonies where we stop to pick Fairy Stones, which was a shock. I did figure out that when you reposition the map, the new items sometimes don't show up, so I just typed in "gas station" after sliding the map, and they appear. Zooming in certainly does give you more to choose from. ((Alain, you're more than welcome to ride to Danville and rest for a night in the guest room at Casa Bella before heading to the rally, but I think that might be taking you waaaay out of your way.)) Kinda cool website actually. Who Knew? Dawn thank you for the invite. Unfortunately that would be quite an extension to my trip. I tried planting my cursor around the screen but the gas station locations stay with the center position of the screen and not where I plant my cursor. Is this right or am I doing something wrong? Works beautifully Tony. What a great planning tool this is. I also like using google maps to give me driving directions and then change those directions by dragging and dropping the old route to a new route. HSATF 1st Officer Posts: 607 05/08/08 3:03 PM	Google maps will do a similar search but you have to hit search every time you move the map. I like the map data a bit better in Google plus I haven't found the ability to save routes for others and muti stop routes in Windows live local it might be in there but I know google can do it. Windows live local will give you satellite view and bird view too. I started using the Windows live local because it integrates into the Microsoft Map-Point and Outlook (you can send instructions/map with a calendar meeting) which I already was using. Tony

I'm just trying to keep an awareness level for the event so that no one is left wondering what's going on or who said what or who's doing what. I would agree with your statement that we need to pick out a hotel/motel in Clarksburg and then move onto the next phase of planning for the event.
