I disagree. Common sense prevails. I've made numerous purchases on ebay. The only problem I ever had was one item that was not correctly described, and that seemed to be an honest mistake. In short, I've saved a lot more money then the one problem I had cost. Common sense still applies. I only do business with people who have good feedback. The times I have purchased expensive items have always been local so that I could personally inspect the item prior to committing to the deal. The biggest mistake that I think a lot of people make with Ebay is to assume everything is a good deal. I routinely see things sell on Ebay for more than they do at local retail stores. That's just silly. I was looking for leather jeans for riding - the big seller on ebay had them - I checked on line and found a retailer selling exactly the same pants for about 20$ less. Common sense again. The flip side is the T windshield with all the chrome I got for about 70$. Used but in fine condition. Now if I could only find some forward controls...
