Posts: 1593 06/22/08 3:54 PM	Tags : None My brother Mark, better known here as WestTnDawg2 hit a deer just an hour or so ago. He was on the "T" that he just bought from me. They have air lifted him to Memphis, TN. We don't think he has any life threstening injuries, but when I got there he was in a lot of pain. Appeared he had some broke ribs and posiibly wrist. Road rash everywhere! We are praying that he does not have any major internal injuries! Keep him in your prayers! The "T' is tore all to pieces! Thanks Rick The "BIKE" is why we came, The "PEOPLE" is why we stay!

Posts: 1593 06/22/08 5:35 PM	They had to take Mark into surgery due to internal bleeding. All they know right now is that his liver was cut. Should be out of surgery in about another hour. Posts: 1593 06/22/08 6:46 PM	Still sitting here waiting! Not much I can do! Yep, deer are our biggest fear too! We rarely ride at night because of this, but this was right in the middle of the day! The ironic part is the deer came out of the woods that my brother hunts! You could almost see his deer stand from the accident scene. Here are a few pics of what is left of the "T"! Horrible scene to see the Tourer like that. How sad that the bike ends its existence that way. I know that this accident must be tough on you also, my prayers are with you too. Posts: 1593 06/23/08 1:27 PM	They finally did all the scans and everything came back positive. 4 fracture ribs is all the broken bones. No back, neck or head injuries. Thats GOOD!!!! The big concern now is the liver. They have to be sure it doesn't start bleeding again or leaking. They had to give him 8 pints of blood last night. His name is Mark Muirhead. Posts: 1069 06/23/08 3:12 PM	rick, that's some good news. hopefully the doctors will take care of the liver. modern medicine can do wonders. anytime you go down it's not good, but from the looks of that bike, it could have been a lot worse. maybe when things get settled down you could post his hosptial address and we can flood him with get well wishes. in the meantime, if you get a chance, tell him we're all praying for him. bud
