The seat of Spanish colonial government from the east coast to the west coast was the Governor's Mansion in the Plaza de la Constitucion,
St. Augustine, Florida. I took a few pictures while visiting there last month. The first four pictures are of the Plaza and the last three are what's
across the street from the Plaza.

Those are some neat old buildings. I can usually check out all the little details in building like that for hours.

Lovely photos! Isn't St. Augustine a wonderful city to explore? I got "stuck" there for almost a week and enjoyed every minute of my time there.

Dawn,
I had been wanting to go there again ever since I stayed there during Bike Week in 2003. This time the wifey came along. It was a wonderful time cruising and strolling around the city and the fort. I would like to go again. Here's a picture of my wife hugging the 0 Mile Marker for the colonial route between St. Augustine and San Diego.
Here's a fountain in St. Augustine that grabbed my attention.
