Front Turn Signals |
Lead | ||
|
I'm in need of two Honda stock front turn signals that will fit the T. I'd like to put running lights on the rear and I want to use the stock front
signals since they are already set up for this and I want them to remain amber. Any help you guys can offer will be appreciated.
Thanks

Nate,
You'll want to be careful here I don't think the law allows AMBER running lights in the rear, only red. This is why they are not running lights from the factory. I'm not exactly sure of the reasoning behind this is so you may chose to proceed anyhow. There are a few kits to convert to red running lights in the back. I think fredrider has one, maybe someone can comment. Tony |

osp, try this on for size, you don't have to add auxilary lights just use your existing lights.WARNING: check with local law enforcement, you may have to
change your lenses out for red instead of amber. Most States mandate that you can not have constant amber lights on the rear of a motor vehicle. Wikipidia
offers these insights but the general concenses among the states is that constant amber lights are for emergency use only.

You're right on with this Tony. Ohio law (and most other states) doesn't allow constant on amber lights to the rear of a vehicle. I read this article
on how to do it http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/signals.html and I agree with him that
visibility is more important to me than a non-moving violation. Maybe my tune will change when I get that first $100 ticket for having amber lights.

The "Electrical Connection" has a conversion kit using you old rear signals. It makes them burn red as tail lights and brake lights, but amber as
signals. Here's the link; http://www.electricalconnection.com/other-lighting/tsk-star&sport.htm

Danbgt had them in his T. The ring is held in with a couple of drops of clear silicone gasket maker in a tube.

I've seen this on other shadows and I thought it looked great. I thought Fred had a Electrical Connection kit (not sure if they make more than one) but
has anyone actually seen the back of Fred's bike for more than few seconds? Fred is beyond "showing us the taillights", he is out of view before
I can even see the lights.
