Phillip....I ride with a Protac and I love it. You'll not spend a lot for it and it works with the stock seat.

I did for quite a while. Worked great and did not bother my rider.... of course I'm riding solo now....

I've got the backrest up in the attic of my garage. I don't have the brackets, but if you're handy with tools and a welder, then it's not that
hard to make them. If interested in it, then let me know.

Stan, you just talked about how you gave away turn signals that are selling for $141 on e-bay. You're too nice. Some angle iron and 1/2" id tubing
will make the brackets or you can contact ProTac. They will sell the brackets to you. I asked them.

It worked with my one piece Mustang, my two piece Mustang came with a backrest so I sold my ProTac without trying them together.

I have the Custom World folding backrest on mine. I have the stock seat and have ridden 2-up with no complaining. I replaced the allen head screws with actual
bolts. I've put about 30K or more miles on it and it does the trick for me.
Ride safe. Putz |

So I tried putting ProTac into my search engine and could not locate the company. Any one have some more specific contact info? I too would like to fit my T
with a backrest and the Pro Tac looked perfect.
My idea was just to fabricate one.

Hey OSmith, I've got the Pro-Tac backrest itself if you want to fabricate the brackets to mount it to your bike. It's really for a Suzuki VZ800
Marauder and I had bought it back when I had a Suzuki C-50, but never mounted it. I bought it w/o the brackets brand new from a dealers display shelf. I'll
take $30 plus shipping for it, if interested. Pictures below;

Hey Brad, welcome to the board. Be sure to introduce yourself on our new member page. As for ProTac, you have to place your order by phone.

Phillip,
I have a Mustang Wide Regal seat on my T, and a Pro-Tac driver's back rest. I love it, and my wife has not problems with it. A guy named Chester makes them in a shop in his yard. We visited him and he bent the seat rods for maximum comfort for passenger and rider. He was a great guy to work with. The rods from the backrest will "dig in" to the seat a bit, but they don't hurt the seat at all. I have had my Pro-tac for four years now. I found this number in my cell phone memory: 800-698-2678. I don't know if it is still active, but you might give it a shot. Good luck
Stony
