Hi, I am a new member from Southern Indiana, so speak slowly. I sell real estate in Bloomington so I've had plenty of time to ride this year. I enjoy
weekend trips. Over the years I have riden as far west as Idaho and as far east as Lake George, New York for Americade. Knoxville, and the Dragon, are about
8 hours south and I have been there twice. I am hoping to go to the T rally this year. Is anyone riding there from around Indiana that I might meet up with?
I have a '98 cream and crimson tourer.

Welcome to the family, Trip. I didn't know the T came in crimson and cream......Valkyrie yes but not the T. Be sure to post some pics of your bike when you
get the chance. There's a place on the board for that under "Members Bikes". There are several members on this board that go to Americade, so
I'm sure you can hook up along the way. The Dragon is about 6 hours from us and we try to make to Pigeon Forge, Tn area about once a year.....usually in
April.

Trip....welcome to the Tourer forum from upstate New York. You've ridden my area on your way to Lake George. I attended the last three years, but not in
'08. Perhaps we can hook up for the trip in '09.

I didn't know that a cream & crimson 1100 Shadow Ace Tourer was rare, although I must admit that I have never seen one with these colors. It is a
1998. I will post some pictures soon. I purchased it last year with about 16,000 miles on it. I saw a couple of the Tourers at the Honda Hoot in 2006, sold
my 1100 Shadow Spirit and bought this one on ebay from Ohio.
I am hoping to get to the T-rally in West Virginia this coming September 08. I will be riding Route 50 east, one up. I will probably stop midway and save my butt for riding with the group. I look forward to meeting some of the tourer forum members. Thanks for your welcome to the tourer family. If any one is ever in the Southern Indiana area, please let me know. I know some great roads and diners and always have a place for friendly bikers to overnight. |

Trip,
Welcome to the Forum. I lived in Cicero, IN from the middle of 1998 to the end of 2005. If I would have lived on the doorstep of Brown County like you do I may have stayed in Indiana, but I decided to move closer to the Dragon and now live just south of Charlotte, NC in Fort Mill, SC. {I hope you know that is not the real reason I moved south. I was just kidding you.} Otherwise if I were still living in Indiana I am sure we would have been starting on road trips together to Americade, the Honda Hoot and the Annual T Rally.

Trip....the colors on your Tourer are quite extraordinary. There are two tones around today but the colors of your particular T are unique. I really like it.

Thanks Alain, I am the third owner. I never met the first owner or I would ask him about the color combination. You are right, it does seem to be a Valk
color combo.

I really like that color combo. There was a thread awhile back where a member was using PhotoShop to create different looks using different color schemes on
the T. My personal favorite is the pearl red and silver, but yours looks great with creme also. there is a local who owns a Valkyrie Tourer in these same
colors and it always looks great.

Thanks Bob and Stan. Cream & Crimson are also the Indiana University colors here in Bloomington, Indiana, although I attended Purdue.
It was just about a perfect day today and I spent most of it riding to the Perogi Festival in Whiting, Indiana and the Frankfort Festival in Frankfort, Indiana and back. You know that you're getting old when your destinations are for food. |

trip wrote: No, can't say that I know that. LOL I guess that's why we started riding to eat somewhere with the town locals this year. We do this about every Saturday afternoon and then to bike night at the local Jack's Hamburgers on Monday's. Dang! I must be getting really old! LOL Stan
