I have no affiliation with this guy at all, but he has this really neat aluminum aux, fuel tank for sale. I know several of you have mentioned needing
something like this, and $1oo seems like a good price for a new tank and all the hardware. SOLD but check out the link
below.

The tank above is sold already. Good price at a savings of more than $70 over new.
Thanks, Rick. Don't know why the link didn't work, but the link to the source for them does and they have them in 1 gal. through 7 gal. sizes, and they come in vertical mount or horizontal mount types. Stan ![]() ![]()

In one of the pictures it shows a tank inside the truck. Has anyone tried this or known someone who has? I would think you would get trapped fumes from the
vented cap etc.......could be a dangerous situation??? I thought about maybe putting a small one in either hard bag.

This summer I put a small gallon, red plastic jerry can in my right side bag. We had no problems at all with fumes. I was a little concerned about carrying a
gallon of gas so close to the exhaust pipe. I think I would put more distance between the bottom of the bag and the gas can, and would likely switch to a
couple of aluminum quart bottles with a better seal.

But an aux tank or bigger main would be nice. I can go nearly 300 miles on the Motor(rad)home before refilling. Next trip, I will probably not carry any spare fuel but maybe just a transfer hose instead. When traveling with others, seldom does everyone run out of gas together.

dukey33 wrote:Duke....I always carry a siphon hose system when I travel with the T. I learned to do this from my old snowmobiling days. The kit is small and carries conveniently. Fortunately I've never had to use it. It's like you said....someone always has fuel, even a passing motorist is a potential fuel supply. A few thousand postings ago someone was asking what items should be carried for a long trip. I made the recommendation then that a siphon kit was always a good idea. Better than carrying a bottle of gas someplace.

That reminds me of our first trip to Americade into the Adirondacks. Your low fuel light came on and we had 60 miles to the next gas station. But you made it
all the way to Speculator with a 1/4 of gallon to go based on the refill. We both were worried but we knew someone had to have gas for a lawnmower at he the
homes we passed.

Rude Customer Service | #9 | ||

I contacted the Tour Tank people about a 2 gallon aux. tank for my "T". I had an email exchange with Bill Hower. Business must be good because he
was extremely rude. He took great offense about my questioning of their return policy. He said my question was nonsense and to basically get lost. One rude
SOB who doesn't comprehend the basics of salesmanship. Too bad because I really wanted to buy the product.

That's too bad, Jerry....for both him and us. I see this happen a lot when a company has a unique product. They forget that you always have the option to
NOT buy their product, and pretty soon they will fold from lack of interest in their product due to poor customer relations. Around here we have a phrase to
describe people who become like this (they have become independent) .......meaning they don't feel they have to cater to you because they have rare item
and if you want it, you'll still have to come to them regardless of how they treat you.
