Laura, I'm in St Johns county. Just across the Julington Creek bridge on San Jose Blvd, south of Mandarin. How did the cb work out? and what about the
floorboards?

CB great. | #623 | ||

The J&M CB has been great although I received the wrong model headset upgrade so I'm waiting to get the correct one installed. (I think I'm going
to try it myself.) I went from a 277 to an Elite series headset. When the 277 was installed in my HJC 3/4 helmet a hole was drilled and it was installed in
the helmet. So when I tried to convert it to the one Wingstuff sent (a clip-on model) I would have had a hole in my helmet. No good! The way it was
explained to me was that there is not technically a drilled-in (I know that isn't the right term but I don't remember what it was called) headset for
that helmet but the installer "modified" one. (That was The Helmet Shop in Daytona Beach.) That was great by me because the clip-on units were sort
of awkward. Wingstuff exchanged it for an Arai model. It appears that the modification was simply cutting out some of the padding to accommodate the
earpieces. Anyway, this may have been TMI... As to the floorboards, I haven't made any progress toward getting them level -- a future project! I hope to
get some pictures once my dings are repaired/painted.

Can't remember if I had ever posted my whereabouts here yet,,,(but then can't remember a lot of things,,,age maybe??) I am in Jackson Tennessee,
located in the western part of the state, on I-40 about 80 miles east of Memphis. Really enjoy reading about my type of bike and those who own them.

I have not seen any other T riders in my area, and my Harley buddies can't keep up. |

My riding in Pueblo | #629 | ||
|
I had foot and leg surgery almost on the day I GOT my ACE and have ridden 1 block in a year and a half.
I garage it across town at a retired Nun's house and go over and charge the battery and check the oil and tires and dust it off. Sister Joan is an 81 year old, 5'-nothing slip of a woman and when she heard it run for the first time and it DIDN'T sound like a Harley road-pig P.O.S. she lit up like a little girl. I've been threatening her to take her riding and she always blushed like a school girl but, really, what could be safer??? Anyway, the Doc's put me on once a month after once a week checkups, so as spring draws near I'm anxious to take off. (It's 18 F right now and my 18 F riding is long past me.) Good luck!!!!! |

Wow....how sad for you! At least you know that when your health gets better that Tourer is waiting for you. I remember that I feel in love with the Tourer after seeing one right after I had back surgery and I was afraid that I was never going to be able to ride again. My disappointment didn't last long and I found this forum and all its wonderful members. And then old #12 came into my life.

You know you should really color in West Virginia on that map. This September would be a good chance to do it. "We want to be free... Free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man!" |
