it's addictive!!

actually this guy contacted me. i had put the bronco II i just bought on cl just to see what responses i might get and he wants to trade me this for the bronco. probably be a good trade for me, as i don't have all that much in the bronco, but i just sold the vtx i had bought from my nephew and consider myself pretty lucky to have done that this time of year. just believe a four wheel drive is better property then a motorcycle right now!! plus, i need a four wheel drive to get out of my driveway if it's bad and i just sold the explorer. i was just getting too many vehicles sitting around. put the bronco and the explorer on cl and said whichever sold first, i'd keep the other. probably had 25 calls on the explorer vs. 4-5 on the bronco. most people think i have it priced too high, but it is a 48k mile vehicle. i tell them to go pay $10k for a newer one with 200k miles on it if that's their way of thinking.

Bud, I had a 1990 PC. I put 35,000 miles on it. If it had had 60 hp instead of 40 I would never have sold it. It was the most comfortable, easy to ride, fun bike I ever owned. I sold it and bought a Triumph Sprint ST, sold that to my son in 6 months and bought a Kawi Meanstreak, had that 4 months and bought a Kawi Concours. Had the Connie for 2 1/2 years and just traded it for my 'T'. I hope to keep the 'T' for a long time. Probably should have never sold the PC - unless you want to drag knee you will love the PC - but - I would keep that beautiful Bronco as well. By the way, the PC NEVER got less than 45mpg!

haven't gone to look at it yet, weather has been a bit^# here in k.c. this week. i really do like the looks of it though. problem is, i try to buy/sell using nada as a sort of guideline and according to it, he's got the bike way overpriced.

besides all this, he was wanting to trade for my bronco and i just sold it to a guy in new jersey last night. really liked the bronco and have been driving it every day, but sure missed all the amenities my explorer has...i.e. power locks, windows, cd player, cruise, etc. i had even put the explorer up for sale thinking i wanted to keep the bronco for winter driving. sold the explorer the first night (or so i thought). guy gave me a deposit and said he'd get it the next day...then calls me and said he couldn't do the deal. i had many calls on it, so listed it back on cl and a woman came by, looked at it, loved it, but wanted to bring her husband by the next day to check it out. she didn't want to leave a deposit, so overnight i made the decision that i was going to sell the bronco and keep the explorer. the lady called the next morning to set a time to bring her husband and i told her my decision and think she was a little upset! anyway, i then listed the bronco and it sold in one day. the fellow from new jersey said he had a full size bronco and had been looking for a nice bronco II for some time. just couldn't find a rust free one there.

with the economy, weather, and christmas, feel i've been pretty fortunate selling the vtx and now the bronco here in december. think i'm going to coast along for awhile now.....u-m-m-m now what was that cl address again!

I am the same way, I am always searching for soemthing on CL. You can find so many great deals that ppl dont even realize what they have. Buy something cheap, and then re-sell it. Normally what I try to do. Sad to see that you let your Bronco go, but glad you had a good sale!!!! Anyways on another topic, did you see what the Carolina Panthers did to the Broncos????

I had a bet at work with one of the nurses. She is a REALLY big Broncs fan. So I told her that if Carolina won, she had to put on my Jersey and hat and let me take a picture of her. And the same with me if the broncs would have won. Guess what picture I have as my background at work!!!

Sorry typing the word Bronco brought that to mind

yeah, i watched a little of that game, but i was so upset with the chiefs, just about ready to give up watching football. miami scored in the first 18 seconds and then went on to win. it actually was a pretty good came, as the lead kept going back and forth, but the chiefs just couldn't pull it off. damn, they've only won two games this season. at least they've finally fired the general manager that about all the players didn't get along with.
somebody here in k.c. put an ad on craigslist last week that read.."WANTED: professional football team for kansas city!" thought that was pretty funny. everybody thought they'd beat miami today because of the weather...8 degrees with 25 below windchill, but it didn't prove to be a factor.
the broncos are probably my next favorite team, so i was sorta hoping they'd win too, but guess i just picked "losers" this season!
