HSATF Member Posts: 34 06/30/09 6:21 PM	Tags : None Well, I found a 2000 Valkyrie I couldn't live without, and I have to sell my 98 T. Below is the ad on CL. The crash bar is bent back about 3/4 inch on the left side, I bumped a parking barrier. (stupid human trick). I just had the dealer install a complete new charging system, all connectors removed and wires soldered. Good tires, good paint. Blemish on tank where Corbin seat rubbed paint. (Before I owned it.) Slight rust on pipes under bags. small kid-in-the-garage dent on front fender. I wish I could keep both, but I also want to keep my wife.. Take a look.. Also, if I'm unrealistic on pricing, let me know. I need to sell this Tourer. http://eastnc.craigslist.org/mcy/1236299305.html

I would love to see a picture of it. Good luck with the sale of the T. Someone will be happy to take if off your hands. HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 57 07/01/09 8:19 PM	We'd love to see the Valk. I know like others on the board I've looked at them, they are very impressive. I'd be interested in your impressions after you ride the bike a while. I've heard very nice things about the valk and it looks like it would be a good touring bike.

I need to get something better for my wife and I, and don't want to get a custom seat made, and I thinks it's Fred, who had a Corbin and swore by them as being the better seat for the T. I also haven't asked him on that for the passenger. It looks like I'll be buying both and trying them out for our own use first, and then selling the one that doesn't fit our needs. HSATF Member Posts: 24 07/08/09 11:58 AM	Congrats on the Valk. As far as pricing goes on the ACE-T, I'm seeing much cheaper in Texas and the south. I bought my 2000 in April with similar accessories to yours and in excellent shape... paid $3600... and that was w/22k on the odo. But he was a motivated seller (had a new Harley in the garage). Good luck with the sale.

My bike has similar mileage and is in similar condition and no one seems to trust a bike with that many miles, even though I had two shadows I sold with well over 100k miles each with no work other than changing the oil. I think you'd be better off removing the accessories and selling them separately and then selling the bike mostly stock for less. Thats what I'm about to do with mine.
