You might want to take the seat off, and check for small bits of plastic.

The seats are wrapped in plastic to keep them clean. If the assembly DOLT was in a hurry (if??), he may not have gotten all the plastic off. A friend had this happen (on a "T"). The plastic got sucked into the air intake and caused the bike to run like sh*t.

(He took the bike back to the dealer. They told him the carbs were running too lean, and he should consider not running the bike unless the temp was at least 70 degrees. Needless to say, he never went back to that wrench again.)
