Don....congratulate your son for me. I imagine your thinking about how nice it will be to have your wife and son accompanying you on your rides. You mentioned oldest son, so do you have other children and do they ride, or want to? It is a good thing that your son is taking the MSF course. That's is the first step in definitely one in the right direction.

Have not seen my brother since we dropped his Venture Royale off at his house. He did call me the next day though and told me that the bike is cleaning up really good. I know he's got a lot of work to do. He is missing a few miscellaneous parts that might be hard to get. The guy who sold him the bike made excuses to my brother about the leveler not working and my brother just took this in stride. I guess it was what helped to keep the price down. But my brother told me when he called that he was playing around with the leveler and got it to work. One of the most serious repairs that will be necessary will be to have the front fork seals replaced. They were leaking badly when we picked up the bike, but again not a biggie to fix. Paint was fair, seats were very good, no tears or rips and not too much fading. The tire were almost new and my brother got a brand spanking new Dunlop front tire thrown into the deal. The bike ran well. It wouldn't keep an idle until it had been running a long time. We were both told the bike was only ridden for 50 miles last year and has been sitting a long time. So I told my brother to run some SeaFoam through it for a few tankfuls and see if it doesn't get better on it's own.

I'll tell you two things that impress me about this bike. There is a whole lot of storage on this bike and it sure is loaded with accessories. It's like a GoldWing wannabe.
