Buzzy - You are right. Honda will be sponsoring the 14th annual Honda Homecoming July 25-27,2002. Having attended the Homecoming the last couple of years I can tell you it is a blast. Events/activities include touring Honda's factories (engine plant, Accord plant, Civic plant and the motorcycle plant), demo rides, Light Parade, 3 vendor expos on Honda's site and in nearby towns, Valkyrie Custom Bike show, an all bikes show, various dancing/kite flying, etc. type shows and parking lots full of bikes of all makes to check out. Last year one of the motorcycle magazines brought a flat bed truck set up like a drag strip. Any two bikes, could be two T's, drive up on the flat bed, get strapped into side-by-side dynos, wait for the Christmas trip lights to blink down, pop the clutch, hopefully don't redlight, rev thru the gears and the announcer sitting high on a scaffold at the back of the flat bed announces the winner and posted times through a P.A. system. Then the race is repeated only this time the objective is top speed. It was way cool and drew a large crowd anytime any two bikes were ready to ante up their $10 and compete. I agree Buzzy, the Homecoming would be a great place to meet without any of us having to do the organizing. --- Fred
