Hi Alapel, My wife does ride. She learned on our Ninja 250. Must have dropped it 15 times, but she learned and has become a very good rider. The Ducati 900SS and Super Sherpa are her bikes. We just sold her '03 Suzuki SV650S to purchase a Duc. We were planning to buy a Monster in the spring, but this 900SS popped up on Craigslist last week and she loves it. She is vertically challenged, so her bikes need to be low, light and narrow. In the past she has ridden with me only out of necessity - we put 20,000 mostly two-up miles on the Ninja 250 when it was our only bike. I like to push it a little bit when I find a good road, so I alway feel like I'm missing a little fun holding back with her on the bike. Not to mention it's irresponsible to take risks with a passenger. On the other hand, now that I've got the Shadow, I'm itching to take it on a longer two-up ride.
Trollsabre, Nice to meet you. I love my VFR. I especially love the sound of that V-4. Some of the guys I ride with have commented that it sounds like a NASCAR when downshifting up to a stop. I've got 44,000 miles on it and I won't get rid of it unless Honda comes up with something better - which I don't think they can do.
BamaTrider - I have fun scraping the boards, my riding buddy says it throws a decent shower of sparks in the dark. We figure the titanium will throw white sparks, protect the floorboards and act as a feeler - a warning before I go too far over. Probably is a Cobra issue - took a lot of work to get them back on with the V&H pipes!
