In general, try to use fuel/vapor line for vacuum hose when possible. When the engine is off, fuel vapors can migrate back into the vacuum line and dissolve the tubing if not compatible. I've used clear PVC hoses that are good for gasoline.

I have a friend with a harbor freight tire changer and that is how I change all my tires. He added some foam rubber on the wheel lock lugs to reduce marring and nicks on the rim. I'm not so worried about it myself. My bikes are not show bikes.

The bar that comes with the tire changer is a bit coarse for use on motorcycle tires so an extra tire lever or two is good to have. An alternative that seems to work very well is the No-Mar mount/demount bar. I've never used one but first hand testimonies are positive.
