FFKP,

Would you prefer to stay in a hotel in Elkins (Holiday Inn Express, Hampton, Super8, Days Inn) or in Seneca Rocks (Smoke Hole, Yokum's)? In Elkins you have the advantages of check-out early if you want to go somewhere else due to the weather or otherwise, and more choices in restaurants. In Seneca Rocks you have beautiful scenery and a vacation/resort atmosphere, but most likely only one restaurant within walking distance and some accommodations require a minimum two-day stay.

I would be willing to do either. Of the 6 prior Annual T Rallies, only two of them did we run into any rain during the two days that we are riding together. The last one, last year, it was good that we did have the opportunity to relocate 140 miles south and avoid almost all of the rain. The first Annual T Rally, we did not stay in one place, but rather three (a different hotel in a different city each night). When it rained on our ride in Michigan we rode into it and then out of the rain again. We were in effect changing hotels to avoid the rain although we did not do it intentionally because of the rain. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that given the history of this event we probably have a 2/3's chance that there will be no rain and staying in a resort could be a lot of fun. Tony could rent a cabin with an outdoor hot tub which would meet one of his criteria for a good place to stay. I could stay in the hotel part of the resort and feel comfortable that I will not get stuck paying for a cabin by myself. There are a lot of attractions in the area. http://www.yokum.com/attractions.htm It could be a lot of fun.

The big question is - Who wants to stay in Elkins, WV? Who wants to stay in Seneca Rocks, WV?
