I just want to say that I have many times run different brand tires on a motorcycle, and never really found it to be problem....until this last time. I had a Dunlop Elite 3 on the front and a Avon Venom R on the rear. Its hard to explain exactly what it was that was different, but they just never felt like they worked together very well. The Tourer handled differently than it used to. I was thinking that it was the 'worn-in' mileage of the T that might have been making it feel that way, but my 200+ mile ride on the new matched Avon Cobras yesterday convinced me that it was the mismatched tires. The difference is very noticeable. I'm very impressed with the Avon Cobras, but I'm sure it was the specific mismatched tires I took off my T that made me feel the oddity. Like I said before, I never had a problem on any other mismatched set, but the Dunlop Elite 3 on the front and the Avon Venom R on the rear are not a good combination on the T. That's 40+ years of riding experience I offer you guys.
