thanks everybody for the great pics and descriptive writings to go along with them.
almost felt like i was there, but alas, i wasn't. i rode the missouri backroads during the week just to take my mind off not making the trip to elkins. logged 300+ miles one day and 400+ the next, so for me, i did get in quite a bit of riding, but i still can't imagine some of the longer distance others are doing...not at my age anyway.
it sounds like everybody had a great time and i'm looking forward to more pics. that is some beautiful country down there. especially waiting for dawn's video.
anybody heard anymore from gary, hope he's not lost. believe he said he was coming back up into illinois. thought at one time i might ride over and try to meet up with him for awhile, but now the rains have started again around here. i've never seen so much rain in this area in july. rained all night and now they're saying we might have "heavy" rains thursday night! i got my riding in between the rains i guess, as i had two really beautiful days of riding last week. at least it's making my tomatoes grow. think this is the best my little tomato patch has ever done! they're over 6 feet tall and loaded with tomatoes!
again, glad you all had a great time and everybody made it home safe.
