I'm also interested in a CV shield. Not to hijack the thread, but to also ask for additional info: What about height? Do most people like the stock size, or taller to look through instead of over?

medicevans.....if you really want to get a snootful of information about the Clearview Windshield try using the advanced search feature of our forum. It really works great and it will bring you a ton of information about the Clearview windshield. I know because I've written alot about it over the years.

I love my ClearView. It is thicker than the OEM and it is crystal clear. It cleans really easily and will not scratch or mar. I have the oversized (3") verison and I plan to cut it down this year. In many of my previous posts I spoke to the fact that the oversized really proves a ton of insolation. The width is perfect to keeping your hands, arms and the outside of your thighs warmer. What I don't like about it is the extra height. The height of my oversized causes me to look through the windshield and not over it. Again it insulates me very well from the wind and buffeting. I never ride with my visor on my full face modular in the down position. The big drawback to the oversized windshield is the protection is gives you from rain. When it's raining the windshield will protect you from the rain and it will load up with raindrops. Then the Windshield protects the rider so well that it will cause a vaccum and I find my visor on my helmet loading up with raindrops also. They don't blow off because the windshield protects me too much. Trying to ride with raindrops on your windshield and visor is just too much.

The solution to this is to cut my Clearview down so that I am looking over the top of it and not through it. It will still protect me in the rain but I won't be looking through it saving me one layer of raindrops I have to look through.

In the next few weeks I will be cutting the windshield down and I will be doing a Photo Journal on it. Electicdawn already has a video on YouTube on how to do this.

If you want to read more on this try the advanced search feature and you'll get a ton of information.
