Works on every bike I've ridden, and they all do it sometimes.
I had to suggest it to another rider in traffic once. He came to a stop and could not get it unstuck and down to first.

I also find first-second shift on the T is crunchier than any other bike I've had. I attribute it to the bigger gap between 1 and 2 since the T has a lower first gear for more getaway torque.
