At the time it was all about the twisting glacial lake roads, the long stretches of lonely highway and the trout streams.  Now, just having broken through the age barrier (turned 40), I look back and wonder how the hell I survived all the log trucks screaming down gravel roads, the two weeks of rocky/muddy hard travel, the roadside breakdowns in torrential rains.  All worth it.  Great roads, great scenery, great people we met.

LOL!!!  single lane winding, gravel, logging trails with a T fully loaded with tent and equipment...and two blown shocks!    Been there ... what a blast  And yes the B.C. Ferries are a hoot also,  all of them in the interior are free to.  There was one just the other side of the mountain we climbed in these pictures.  (almost lost it down the side of one curve got just a we bit to close to the soft shoulder)  The pucker factor was fairly high at that moment
